Saint Therese, also known as “the Little Flower”, was born in 1873 and died 24 years later in 1897. She became a sister to save souls for Jesus and especially to pray for priests.
She is known for her “little way” and often quoted as saying “there is only one thing to do, cast at Jesus the flowers of the little sacrifices”; “may you trust God that you are exactly where you are supposed to be” and “when I die I will send down a shower of roses”. She is patron of the Missions, sick people, flowers, aviators, Tuberculosis, France and Russia.
