This is a copy of “The Holy Face of Jesus” image on Veronica’s Veil which is most devoutly preserved and venerated in the most holy Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican.

The “red smudge” on the lower right corner of the image shows that the original copy was signed by either a Cardinal or the Pope himself, and sealed with Cardinal’s/Pope’s ring in red wax.

Includes the story behind the picture and the devotion of St. Theresa of Lisieux to The Holy Face.
