Description
Blessed Sacrament Chaplet from Italy is composed of 33 ruby glass beads, one for each day of Our Lord’s life, and a oval medal with an image of a chalice with host, bread and wheat.
Chaplet is traditionally used when it is not possible to participate in the Mass or receive Holy Communion.
While holding the medal, one makes a Spiritual Communion with the following prayer: “My Jesus, I believe that Thou art present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love thee above all things. I desire to receive Thee into my Soul. Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart….” (St. Alphonsus Liquori) Say on each of the 33 beads: “Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament on the Altar, have mercy on us.”)
